Setting Up IFGF WebMail through your mail Client


IFGF GISI WebMail can be accessed from your different devices as well as the Zimbra Web Interface.

Below are the settings for the commonly used E-Mail Client in different Operating System and Platforms.


Here's the step by step tutorial on How to configure your device to send and receive your ifgfgisi.org E-mail via your E-Mail Program:


Microsoft Windows


Microsoft Outlook


  1. Fill in your Name, E-mail Address and Password
  2. Select "Manually Configure"
  3. Select "Internet E-Mail"
  4. Select Account Type "IMAP" in the "Server Information" section
  5. Fill in "ifgfgisi.org"  in the Incoming Mail Server
  6. Fill in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
  7. Complete your logon information (username without @ifgfgisi.org" & Password
  8. Click "More Settings" button
  9. In the Outgoing Server Tab, check the "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
  10. Make sure the "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.
  11. In the Advanced Tab, make sure the Incoming mail server (IMAP) is filled with "993" or if you are using (POP3) port 995 in the box, select "SSL" in the type of encrypted connection.
  12. In the the Outgoing Server (SMTP) make sure the box is filled with "465", select "SSL" in the type of encrypted connection.


Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Create a New Account (From Tools Menu > Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account)
  2. Enter your Name and Email Address
  3. Thunderbird will try to detect your settings based on your emails
  4. After the recommended settings, click edit / Manual Config to change the settings manually
  5. Fill in "ifgfgisi.org"  in the Incoming Mail Server, Port 993 (IMAP) or Port 995 (POP3), SSL/TLS
  6. Fill in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), Port 465, SSL/TLS



    Apple Mac OS X


    Apple Mail


    1. In the "Mail" Menu go to "Preferences"
    2. Go to "Accounts" Tab
    3. Press the "+" to add a new Account
    4. Enter your "Name", "ifgfgisi.org E-mail Address" and "Password"
    5. In the "Incoming Mail Server Window", Choose "IMAP" in the "Account Type"
    6. Type in the description any explanation such as "me@IFGF"

    1. Type in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Incoming Mail Server
    2. Type in your username & Password
    3. Press continue, and press Connect
    Outgoing Mail Server Window
    1. Type in the description any explanation such as "me@IFGF"
    2. Type in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Outgoing mail server
    3. Check the "Use Authentication"
    4. Make sure the username and password field are filled with your information.
    5. Press Continue

    Account Summary Page will show all the settings you just filled in, Press "Create" to continue.


    iOS Device (iPhone, iPod, iPad)


    1. In your iOS Device go to "Settings"
    2. Go to "Mail, Contact, Calendar"
    3. Select "Add Account"
    4. Select "Other"
    5. In the Mail Section, select "Add Mail Account"
    6. Fill in your Information (Name, ifgfgisi.org E-Maill Address, Password, and Description) and then hit Next.
    7. Select "IMAP"

    Incoming Mail Server Section

    1. Type in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Incoming Mail Server "Host Name"
    2. Type in your username & Password


    Outgoing Mail Server Section

    1. Type in "ifgfgisi.org" in the Outgoing Mail server "Host Name"
    2. Make sure the username and password field are filled with your information.
    3. Press Next.
    4. Toggle both the "Mail" and "Notes" if you prefer to synchronize both your Mail and notes from Zimbra.
    5. Press Save


    Research in Motion BlackBerry


    1. In your Blackberry Device, go to Setup
    2. Select Setup Wizard
    3. Select E-Mail Setup
    4. Select "I want to create or add an email address", hit next.
    5. Select "Other"
    6. Fill in your Information (Name, ifgfgisi.org E-Mail Address, Password, and then hit Next.
    7. After you add the email account, go back to the email Accounts screen
    8. Hit the Menu Button on your Blackberry Device, select "Edit"
    9. You can complete your information in this page, such as "Your Name", "Signature"
