Love is the Greatest Commandment

PBH

Quoting from Apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthians, he said, “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have note love, I am nothing.” (I Corinthians 13:1-2)

We are reminded of the real spirit of Christmas. Each time we celebrate the birth of Christ, we remember the love that God has for His people. So much so, that He was willing to send His Son Jesus Christ to walk the life of a man on earth, only later to be crucified to redeem our sins. No longer do we need to offer up sacrifices of the blood of lambs and bulls as sin offerings for Christ has been offered at the cross as His Lamb once and for all.

The sacrifice on the Cross was out of love. And it is this same love we have received from Him that we can spread to our family and our community. Our tenth vision in IFGF GISI says to build a Godly and skillful church. Not only do we want to raise up a generation that are skilled in their work and ministry, but a generation that are filled with Godliness and love to touch lives and change nations.

Remind your church again, that love is the greatest commandment. In the spirit of Christmas this year, let us go back to the most basic foundation of our faith and ministry, which is love itself. With love, anything is possible! Have a wonderful Christmas...
